When Australians move overseas quite often their superannuation fund and the mechanisms behind saving for retirement tend to fall by the wayside as they focus on building their wealth using other vehicles.
What a lot of people don’t realise is that when they are living overseas and they are not contributing at least 10% of their income to superannuation unless they are saving this amount elsewhere they could be financially disadvantaged compared to their colleagues back in Australia.
