For the first time since 1936, the Australian government is revisting the tax residency rules and how they apply to Australian citizens and those with right of abode in Australia which includes Australian expats.
We welcome this review as the current rules have become unworkable in today’s modern age however given the time it has taken between reviews it is imperative that everyone has their say becuase more than likely the next review won’t be in our lifetime.
Its important that all Australian expats have their say and voice their feedback however many have commented that they don’t understand the process so we’re going to help.
