Changes to Australian Tax Residency Rules

For the first time since 1936, the Australian government is revisting the tax residency rules and how they apply to Australian citizens and those with right of abode in Australia which includes Australian expats.

We welcome this review as the current rules have become unworkable in today’s modern age however given the time it has taken between reviews it is imperative that everyone has their say becuase more than likely the next review won’t be in our lifetime.

Its important that all Australian expats have their say and voice their feedback however many have commented that they don’t understand the process so we’re going to help.

Below we have a Word document template that you can open, add your name and send it onto Canberra. If you feel like it you can also amend and add to our comments as they apply to your personal sitation.

Every expat shoud have their say as the next review may not be in our lifetime.
